Interested in Serving on the IACT Board?

IACT is actively recruiting prospective board members for 2010 (and beyond).  If you are interested in serving IACT — and the Indian-American community it represents — please join us for an informational dinner and meeting on Thursday, May 13, 2010 from 7-9pm at Sarovar Indian Cuisine (address and directions here).  All of IACT’s board positions are currently open for 2010-11.

  • Would like to see the Indian American community better represented in state and local affairs, including the election/appointment of IAs to leadership positions?
  • Can you help identify and give a voice to the needs of the Indian American community while improving relationships with public officials?
  • Do you have ideas to improve communication and cohesion among a rich, diverse, yet fragmented Indian American community?
  • Would you like to shape the future of the Asian American Resource Center, a multi-million dollar project funded in part by the City of Austin to serve the needs of the growing Asian American community?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you should plan on attending the  IACT information and board recruitment dinner on May 13. If you are interested in attending or would like more information, please RSVP to Ashwin Ghatalia, IACT President, at ashwin_ghatalia@yahoo.com or (512) 327-4343.
